| 2nd February 2009 | Walking through snow on Barnhill | Walking through snow on Barnhill, a nature reserve between Kenton, Kingsbury and Wembley. We just had the heaviest snowfall for 18 years. 15cm under my feet in this video in places. For the London, UK area this is very much a novelty. | Length: 2m33s | |
| 19th February 2009 | Children of Bodom - Downfall - Live at The forum, London | Children of Bodom playing 'Downfall' at the Forum on 19th February 2009. Yeah I know crap sound quality but my Canon Powershot A650IS is a still camera and wasn't designed for decent videos, especially in the dark at high volumes. The mic was well overwhelmed as was the CCD sensor when the brighter lights shone in the dark. | Length: 5m46s | |
| 19th February 2009 | Children of Bodom Live Forum London When Sound Mixer Died a Beery Death | I was recording Bed of Razors by children of Bodom at The Forum, London when someone threw beer onto the sound mixer which promptly died and caused a premature end to the gig. Yeah I know crap sound quality but my Canon Powershot A650IS is a still camera and wasn't designed for decent videos. The mic was well overwhelmed as was the CCD sensor when the brighter lights shone in the dark. The moment the mixer dies is about 57 seconds in when the sounds are no longer badly distorted! | Length: 2m21s | |
| 12th March 2009 | Snippet of Nightwish - Poet and the Pendulum Live at Brixtom Academy | This was a section of Poet and the Pendulum that features loads of pyros and light effects. At the very end the video ends when I ducked as all these streamers were launched and draped themselves all over me! Pyros start about 30 seconds in. Watch out for the streamers at the dnd, at which point I ducked as something whacked my hand. Sound quality is rubbish but that's down to the mic of a single shot digital camera with video added for gimmick for you. | Length: 2m56s | |
| 17th May 2009 | Guy Westgate Glider Aerobatics Display During Aerotow | Guy Westgate performing a Glider Aerobatics display in his Swift at at Duxford Air Show. Two clips of the aerobatics while on aerotow. The tow plane is a Pawnee and the aircraft looping around the Swift is a SA180 Twister. Shame that BAE 146 fin got in the way at times but still pretty dramatic. I could have done with slightly less zoom too but wasn't about to fiddle with the camera once underway. Oh yeah mind the wind noise. It was blowing a hoolie at the time. | From Duxford 2009 | Length: ?m??s |
| 17th May 2009 | Guy Westgate Glider Aerobatics Display Post Aerotow | Guy Westgate performing a Glider Aerobatics display in his Swift at at Duxford Air Show. From Aerotow release to landing. Shame that BAE 146 fin got in the way of some of the low bits but still pretty dramatic. Oh yeah mind the wind noise. It was blowing a hoolie at the time. | From Scotland 2009 Page 2 | Length: 3m02s |
| 5th October 2009 | Looking around the Cairngorm summit | A quick look around at the summit of Cairngorm on 5th October 2009 after a storm dumped some early snow. (It all looks to have melted by the following morning.) Cloud skimming past the summit made for a moody view too. | From Scotland 2009 Page 2 | Length: 0m33s |
| 5th October 2009 | Cairngorm Funicular leaving the top station | A short clip as the Cairngorm funicular train leaves the top station and heads down the mountain. | From Scotland 2009 Page 2 | Length: 0m30s |
| 7th October 2009 | Strathspey steam train leaving Boat of Garten station | I took the Strathspey steam train from Aviemore to Boat of Garten on 7th October 2009 before walking back to Aviemore along the Speyside Way footpath. As the train left Boat of Garten I videod it departing. | From Scotland 2009 Page 2 | Length: 1m02s |
| 7th October 2009 | Deer on slopes of Cuidhe Crom above Glas Allt, Loch Muick | Deer on the slopes of Cuidhe Crom above Glas Allt (Above Loch Muick). The stag was making plenty of noise and was what alerted me to their presence. I tried using digital zoom on top of 6x optical zoom but then had a fight with the image stabilization. | From Scotland 2009 Page 3 | Length: 0m36s |
| 7th October 2009 | Glas Allt waterfalls above Loch Muick | I was descending along Glas Allt from the summit of Lochnagar. Along the way as I approached the drop off down to Loch Muick there were loads of waterfalls. Here are 3 clips showing some of them, including the biggest waterfall that is on its own worth a special visit. | From Scotland 2009 Page 3 | Length: 0m53s |
