Isle of Wight 2016 Pictures Day 3

After a nice 9:30AM breakfast we left soon after 10AM. We headed Northwards past Osborne House to East Cowes. There didn't appear to be much here though so we simply queued for the chain ferry at 10:55AM which whisked us across the River Medina 5 minutes later to take us into Cowes.

After parking up we wandered around the town centre shopping as the sun poked through. Again we were a little underwhelmed after a while and soon we were heading back to the car. We did spot a Little French Franks but decided to carry on further West before eating.

At midday we left and drove to Yarmouth which we got to after a nice half hour drive along the North coast. We were going to go to The Wheatsheaf pub but the menu wasn't very good. So we went to the Gossips Café instead and had a nice snack by the water. Outside I also took a look at the pier and beach before we left at 1:15PM.

I plotted us a nice scenic windy drive back on the narrow back roads. That was highly enjoyable but eventually the fun came to an end after just over an hour to get back to the hotel at about 2:30PM. By now it had started to rain and it was a good time to get under cover anyway.

We were happy to rest until 5PM as we were both exhausted. Then at 5:30PM we headed out to the Dragon Pearl Chinese Restaurant for an early dinner. The weather was pretty soggy now. But despite there not being much vegetarian choice we had a nice meal before returning at 6:15PM.

In the reception when we returned the suggestion of Yaverland Beach near the Culver cliffs popped up with the possibility of fossils. As the last day was a bit slack for plans we decided that would be our first port of call tomorrow. At 6:30PM we went to the pool and hot tub and enjoyed them for an hour. Thanks to the use of Renée's waterproof phone and having the pool to ourselves we took these pictures.

Then after showers, TV and rest we retired for the night from 9:30PM.
